AIMS & OBJECTIVES

To align with the PracNet scope and context, specific aims and objectives have been developed.

PracNet Aims

  • To enhance research capacity of General Practice workers in the ACT and South eastern NSW regions, including GPs, PNs, and Practice Managers; and

  • To support research and quality improvement projects that will improve the health and medical safety of local communities.

​

PracNet Objectives

  • Establish regular contact with primary care practices and clinicians interested in research.

  • Support collaborative partnerships between primary care clinician-researchers and academic mentors, to support the development, conduct, and writing of high quality research projects.

  • Provide research training and support through mentorship, workshops and online learning, and active links with the ANU.

  • Actively pursue funding opportunities to support research.

  • Produce tangible research outputs through publication (academic and industry reports), direct feedback and consultation (conferences and direct stakeholder consultation) and teaching (workshops, medical school curriculum update).
